UNFORTUNATELY Peterborough have had to postpone Monday night’s scheduled Elite League match against table-toppers Lakeside because of an unfit track.

The East of England Showground circuit has been left flooded after the torrential rain the country has suffered this week.

Showground officials have contacted the club this afternoon to inform them the track is currently in a very poor state.

After consulting their own Track Curator and taking into account the likely further damage to be suffered from the Showground staging of a National Motor Home Show this weekend, club bosses have made an early decision to postpone the fixture.

Motor homes are currently displayed on the centre green and it is anticipated more damage will be incurred as they will have to be towed off across the track. With even more bad weather forecast this will give the club insufficient time to repair the circuit to make it raceable.

The Readypower Panthers are next in home action when they host Swindon Robins in the Knockout Cup on Friday May 4 (7.30pm).
