ELITE League favourites Poole have been hit by the news that key reserve Jason Doyle could miss the rest of their play-off campaign.
Doyle has suffered a dislocated shoulder in a moto-cross accident, and his place in the Pirates’ final regular league fixture of the season at Ipswich on Thursday will be taken by club number eight and former world champion Gary Havelock.
Promoter Matt Ford said: “It’s a frustration for us, a similar thing happened to Chris Holder last year.
“Jason could well miss the remainder of the season so you can guess how annoyed he is with himself.”
