JOE Royle last night ruled out the likelihood of any more players joining Ipswich Town's promotion push before the emergency loan period ends near the end of this month.

Ricardo Fuller is the only possible new signing but no decision will be made on that until after his loan spell from Southampton expires Town's visit to Crystal Palace on March 18.

Although Town are taking a look at Polish centre-back, and intend bringing in a few more trialists over the coming months, Royle does not feel the need to bring in anyone else on what small amount, if anything that is left in his budget.

Royle said: “It is highly unlikely that we will bring anyone else in now. Ricardo would be the only possibility but we will see on that one.”

Powel Krol will join the Ipswich Town players in training this morning after joining on trial.

The 18-year-old who has been capped by his country at every level from Under-16 to Under-19, has played first team for Gornik Zabrze and recently enjoyed a successful loan stint at Manchester City.

Blues boss Joe Royle said: “Pawel was recently on trial at Manchester City and did very well. It costs us nothing to look at these players and he is highly rated so it makes sense to take a look at him.

“There are a few players coming over here and again it won't hurt to have a look We have found a couple of gems recently and it is nice when that happens.”

Town signed Sito Castro after he impressed on a trial and the Spaniard has recently won a new two and a half year deal. Vemund Brekke Skard, who has been in the first team squad of late, was signed after being spotted playing for Norwegian part-timers Brummendal and then impressing on trial.

The Blues were back in training this week after an unexpected weekend off and Royle is determined that his players blow away any cobwebs.

They enjoyed a double training session yesterday and while they don't need to work on improving fitness, the players will look at being sharp for the visit of Millwall on Saturday.

Royle said: “the rest will not have hurt the players at all and had a good rest. What we must make sure is that they are rested but not sleepy.

“Millwall had a big win on Saturday against Luton and by the reports we have had they have been playing well for a while and not getting the results they deserve.”

Young Blues defender Chris casement pledged his future to the club by signing a new two-year extension.

The Northern Ireland young international skipper was a member of last season's FA Youth cup winning side and has been a regular in the Town reserves this season.
