The Ipswich Basketball Under-14 Girls thrilled their home crowd with a 56-52 win over Haringey Angels, writes Rob Schatten.

Ipswich limited their opponents to only four baskets from open play in the fourth quarter and this offered the platform for strong scoring performances down the stretch from Susannah Rafiu (21pts) and Makenna Williams (16pts) to seal the game in Ipswich’s favour.

Adam Robinson’s Under-16 Boys won a tense away game against Northants Titans 104-103 to move to the next round of the National Cup.

In a scrappy affair, Ipswich held their nerve to secure the victory. Ethan Price once again dominated, leading the team in scoring with a massive 57-point outing, while Jacob Morgan added 16 and Ahmeed Yusoof 15.

The Under-18 Boys also sealed an important away win at Bucks Hornets behind big performances from Ben Winter, Price and Troy Huggins, while the Under-14 Boys suffered a tough one-possession home defeat to Milton Keynes.
