SCOTT Rendell has re-joined Cambridge United on loan from Peterborough United for the rest of the season.
A loan fee has been agreed by the clubs and the cost has been underwritten by Cambridge United's directors so the deal is financially viable for the club. Director George Rolls and Club Secretary Wayne Purser visited Peterborough United this afternoon to personally complete the paperwork to bring the striker back to Cambridge United.
Rolls said: “We're delighted to have reached agreement with Barry Fry and to have Scott back at the club. Hopefully he can pick up where he left off last month and help in our push for promotion.”
Scott, who scored seven goals in the nine games of his previous loan that ended at New Year, rejoins United in the face of interest from other clubs and will wear the number nine shirt for the rest of the season.
