Football: Ridgeons League Premier Division sides Newmarket Town and Ely City are looking for new managers.

Both Karl Johnson (Newmarket) and Ely's Trevor Munns have left their respective clubs after Saturday's FA Vase games.

Johnson, who saw his two-year tenure end with a 2-1 win over UCL side St Neots Town, felt he had taken the team as far as he could and would be unable to improve the side without greater investment in the squad.

He said: "My decision had nothing to do with results.”

Munns cited extra commitments as the reason for his resignation.

"I think I had the makings of a good team there," he said. "But I'm not now in a position to devote as much time to Ely as I would like to."
