MORTEN Risager has had his finger saved by surgery, but it is too early to say what the future holds for the young Dane.

Risager was involved in a high-speed crash at Rye House on Monday with the little finger of his right hand severed.

Speaking from hospital today after surgery, Risager said: “They have put my finger back on and I think it has survived, but we won’t know for another few days.

“I’m in a lot of pain and have lost mobility in it, but again it will be a while before I know how much mobility or feeling I have lost.

“I would like to thank everyone for all the messages of support.”
