BLUES boss Joe Royle has backed his defence to keep their third clean sheet in succession when they entertain Wolverhampton Wanderers this afternoon, writes Derek Davis.

Wolves have not won an away league match since 2003, but have Scotland international striker Kenny Miller in fine form after scoring four goals in six games.

Royle was delighted with the way his back four kept out a bothersome Rotherham side on Saturday as they moved up to third place in the Championship with a 2-0 win.

He said: "It has been coming for a while. We defended very well against Cardiff as well, and even though it was a different back four they were never really troubled by Brentford.

"Wolves will be different type of opposition and have a good blend of youth and experience.

"Kenny Miller was one of the top strikers in this league the year Wolves got promoted and is a very dangerous player.

"In Paul Ince they have a very good player and he scored a terrific goal against Rochdale in the League Cup last week."

The buoyant Blues have no further injury worries with everyone who played warming down at a Leisure Centre and swimming pool yesterday.

Royle is likely to stick with the same side that won at Millmoor, although Dean Bowditch could come in for Darren Bent if a deal is struck this morning.

Wolves have signed South Korean World Cup star Ki Hyeon Seol from Anderlecht.

The 25-year-old's move was completed but he may not be available to play against Ipswich today unless international clearance comes through.

Manager Dave Jones went to Sheffield to try and hurry along his permit but he may have to wait until they play Wigan next month before seeing him in action.

Royle, who worked as a BBC commentator during the 2002 World Cup remembers Seol but is not too concerned as he won't be playing.

Jones is also believed to be close to agreeing a deal with former Everton winger Ibrahima Bakayoko, who is currently with Spanish side Osasuna, who Town beat 2-1 in a friendly earlier this month.

They were given further cheer last night when Colin Cameron agreed a new one-year extension on his contract, further to the one-year already remaining.
