Ryman League side receive plum draw

AVELEY have received a plum draw in the third round of the Essex Senior Cup. Essex all-rounder Graham Napier visited the BBC Essex headquarters to take part in the draw in which Ryman League Division One North Aveley were handed a visit to Colchester United's brand new Weston Homes Community Stadium.

Essex all-rounder Graham Napier visited the BBC Essex headquarters to take part in the draw in which Ryman League Division One North Aveley were handed a visit to Colchester United's brand new Weston Homes Community Stadium.

The draw also sees current holders Southend United with a home tie against Redbridge from the same Ryman division, while unbeaten Ridgeons Eastern Counties League club Halstead Town travel to Dagenham & Redbridge and Maldon Town visit Grays Athletic's New Recreation Ground.

Third Round draw: Harlow Town v Billericay Town; Tilbury v Canvey Island; Waltham Forest v Stanway Rovers; Southend United v Redbridge; Great Wakering Rovers v AFC Hornchurch; Witham Town v Ilford; Grays Athletic v Maldon Town; Heybridge Swifts v Barking; Chelmsford City v Southend Manor or Barkingside; Waltham Abbey v FC Clacton; Colchester United v Aveley; Wivenhoe Town v Thurrock; Dagenham & Redbridge v Halstead Town; Concord Rangers v East Thurrock Utd; Braintree Town v Brentwood Town; Burnham Ramblers v Romford.
