SAM Newson has joined Lowestoft Town on a three-month loan.
The Needham Market striker was given permission to speak to the Ryman League Premier Division club yesterday and has agreed a three-month loan spell until March 2, 2013.
Speculation has been mounting about the future of Newson over the past fortnight, after Lowestoft watched the 24-year-old play for Needham Market against Witham Town in their Ryman League Division One North clash on November 17.
Newson scored twice in Needham’s 4-1 win at Redbridge on Saturday, and then tweeted that it was “a decent end to an era” prompting many to believe he had played his last game for the club.
Needham chairman David Bugg said: “I would like to wish Sam all the best in his time at Lowestoft. We will have to see what develops over the three-month period.”
