A round-up of all the action from the Suffolk and Ipswich League, with wins for Bramford, Westerfield and Crane Sports

Senior Division

Ipswich Valley Rangers 0 Bramford United 6

Three goals in each half saw Bramford seal the win against Ipswich Valley Rangers.

Bramford opened the scoring in the second minute when an unmarked Evans scored. A Munson solo run saw him score the second and Dodsworth netted the third.

Munson also grabbed Bramford’s fourth and Dilloway made it five after 77 minutes.

Golding’s goal completed the scoring.

Westerfield United 3 Grundisburgh 2

This to-and-fro game started with Trenter putting the visitors ahead with a free-kick.

A Richardson cross was then headed in by Swift to level things up. Westerfield took the lead when Swift scored again on the stroke of half-time but Grundisburgh made it level again after the break through Driver.

Westerfield clinched all three points when Richardson’s corner was met at the near post by Stuart who thundered a header into the net.

Crane Sports 2 Wickham Market 0

Cranes were made to work hard in defeating a Wickham Market side which showed plenty of spirit and resilience.

Cranes made the break through on 38 minutes when, following a measured build-up down the left, Tye Webb drilled a powerful shot beyond visiting ‘keeper Paul King.

The visitors made a determined restart and Ashley Smith made a superb interception to deny Ryan Davidson and Barker chipped Chaplin but Daniel Buck was well placed to clear off the line.

However Cranes increased their lead on 58 minutes when Harry Froud crossed and James Blades stroked home in front of goal.

Cranes were reduced to 10 men when Liam Woodhouse received a second yellow.

Framlingham Town 3 Haughley United 1

Framlingham ended Haughley’s 100% record with an inspired performance.

The home side went ahead on 12 minutes through Taylor and doubled their advantage just before the half-hour mark when Chris Boardley surged through the middle to set up Kieran Nicholls for a tap in.

Ollie Goddard drove home a third on 36 minutes which entered the net via the hands of ‘keeper Aaron Mayhew and almost immediately the hosts were reduced to 10 men when Nicholls shoved Tony Mayhew.

Haughley pushed forward with the numerical advantage after the interval but had to wait until injury time for a consolation goal when Smith drove home.

Capel Plough 2 Ipswich Athletic 0

Little was seen of the home side as an attacking force in the first half an hour before Nick Middlebrook’s excellent shot from the edge of the area found the top corner after 38 minutes.

Capel defended in numbers to hold onto their lead before they made the points safe in injury time. Middlebrook ran from the half-way line to slot past Welton for his second goal.
