A MINUTE’S silence will be held before every Kingsley Healthcare SIL match next Saturday in memory of Bob Coleman, the league’s patron who passed away on Thursday.

Described as “one of the finest and dedicated men that ever joined the ranks of the league” in Five Score, a history of the league, Coleman played for St Clements Institute, Ipswich Co-op and Fonnereau Athletic, where he went on to become club secretary, chairman and a life member.

He served with distinction on the league’s management committee and became the vice chairman. He was a life member of the league and served as the inter-league co-ordinator and trustee, before more recently becoming league patron.
