THE BSPA are pleased to announce the release of the 2012 Elite League fixture list.

All ten clubs return from the highly successful 2011 season and another close-fought battle for play-off places is expected, with several exciting signings already announced.

Last year’s runners-up Eastbourne stage the first Elite League match of the season when they welcome Belle Vue to Arlington on March 24.

The Eagles are also set to feature in the first live Sky Sports fixture with their home clash against fellow 2011 play-off qualifiers King’s Lynn on April 2 - and also on the early TV schedule is a mouth-watering West Midlands derby clash between Birmingham and Wolverhampton at Perry Barr on April 11.

All Elite League clubs will be in action on Good Friday, April 6, a date which traditionally attracts bumper crowds at all venues.

The dates of two major events have also been confirmed, with Wolverhampton to stage the British Final on Monday July 30, and the Elite League Riders’ Championship at Swindon on Saturday October 20.

BSPA vice-chairman Jon Cook said: “This is the earliest I can remember us issuing the fixture list in years, and everyone is delighted that it is available before the festive period.

“We understand the need for supporters to plan ahead, and thanks to the clubs co-operating together we have been able to achieve that. It shows the house is very much in order, and now let’s hope for a good run with the weather next year!

“I also think the early Sky Sports schedule looks to be very exciting with plenty of variety, and we look forward to working with our broadcast partners once again in 2012.”
