Boss Harry Redknapp is keen on Sissoko - not to be confused with Juventus and former Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko - but may have to offer �15m to get his man.
Moussa, who turns 20 later this month, is a box-to-box midfielder. He has represented France at Under-21 level but is of Malian descent.
