Paul Musgrove says Stowmarket Town need to be fully focused for tomorrow’s trip to Great Yarmouth Town (3pm), writes Alex Moss.

A large away following is expected at the Wellesley this weekend, with many Stow supporters wearing waistcoats, but assistant boss Musgrove has warned his players they have a job to do.

“You’ve got to applaud the great support and I look forward to it,” Musgrove said. “But we’ve got a job to do.

“We won’t be doing anyone any justice if we take our eye off the ball, knowing what Yarmouth have got for us.

“We’ll be very much focused on trying to get the right result and focusing on where we need to exploit their weaknesses.

“The result comes first. It’s nice to see so many people coming to support us, it’s brilliant, but it won’t be a memorable day if we don’t give the supporters three points, which is what we’re there to do.

“Nobody likes losing football games, especially me, so we won’t be taking it as a day out.

“It’s not a day out for us, it’s another game and we need to get three points to pick up the momentum again.”

An injury-time equaliser denied Stow a win against Norwich United last weekend, as Ace Howell’s 39th-minute strike was cancelled out by Sam Applegate’s effort in the fourth minute of added time.

Despite picking up just one point from their two home games at Greens Meadow last week, Stow head into the weekend in second place in the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division table.

A victory for Rick Andrews’ men at Yarmouth would see them climb to the top of the table, as leaders Histon are without a game this weekend.

“We had quite a few chances last Saturday,” Musgrove said. “The players worked so hard and showed their willingness to put right what went wrong in the Walsham game.”

Stow welcome back defender Sam Nunn and midfielders Scott Chaplin and Luke Read for the trip to Yarmouth, while striker Remi Garrett is unavailable but returns for the home game against Gorleston next weekend.
