With the cricket season just round the corner, Stowmarket Cricket Club are looking forward to building upon the success of last season, when their 1st X1 were crowned Two Counties Division Six champions, gaining promotion to Division Five.
Senior indoor nets take place at Ipswich School on Sunday evenings, on March 5 and 19, and April 2 (8pm to 10pm).
Junior registration and training evenings will commence on Monday, April 3 at 6:15pm. Weekly coaching sessions will continue through to the end of July.
This season, Stowmarket will be running two Saturday X1s in the Two Counties, a Sunday team in Division Two of the Hunts Bats League and a midweek side in the local Wednesday evening T20 competition.
Stowmarket will also be encouraging youngsters to participate in local matches suitable for all school years one to 11 (ages 5 to under 16). Further info: Clive Witherly (01359 240019) or e-mail wigg51@btinternet.com
