Tomorrow night (Friday) sees the staging of the second race in this summer’s Friday Five Series, based over a new course at Buxhall, near Stowmarket, and organised by Stowmarket Striders.
Held over a new route, instead of the trails around Haughley Park for this year only, the event certainly has five-mile personal best potential along relatively flat rural roads.
Following on from the previous weekend’s Kirton Friday Five, this Friday’s race is being staged from Tomlinson Groundcare, Hall Orchard, 1 Brettenham Road, Buxhall, near Stowmarket, IP14 3DL.
The main race starts at 7.30pm, and will be preceded by a junior race and fun run (7pm start).
The third race in the Series is the following Friday, June 16, at Framlingham.
This race will incorporate the Suffolk five-mile Championships, with another 7.30pm start from Framlingham Sports Club, on Badingham Road. (fun run at 7pm). Entries are still available for this event.
