COLCHESTER Rovers secured an impressive team victory in the annual Interclub 10 against CC Sudbury at Lavenham.
Spearheading their 233 to 221 points win on a shortened circuit was Jim Reed with an untouchable 19 minutes 34 seconds. With 15 Rovers making the excursion north and the first five counting, Nick Webber, Ken Baker, Adrian Manley and Errol Baker provided the perfect back up to Reed's winning ride. Rovers' recapture of the Alan Wiseman Cup means that both clubs have now won the trophy twice.
A day previous at Langham, Reed was second best to a victorious Mike Smith in the Rovers Evening 10. Smith's 23-53 proved too fast for both Reed (24-02) and third placed Stuart Chatting (24-41).
