THERE were some encouraging signs of progress in West Suffolk road runnning at the Hadleigh 10-mile road race.
Paul Preston, of Sudbury Joggers, has been posting some good results of late. He finished eighth on a morning when 11 runners beat the one-hour barrier.
The race was started by Penny Black, the Mayor of Hadleigh, and 35 members of the Hares club braved the appalling weather to help with the organisation and marshalling on the course.
Meanwhile, the next race in the Fenn Wright Suffolk Cross County Winter League takes place at Hatchley Barn, Woodbridge, on Sunday, December 10.
