RoundersIpswich School's Under-14 Rounders team won the County Championship at Sudbury Upper School recently. The talented young team included many of the girls who won the County Hockey Championship earlier this school year.

Ipswich School's Under-14 Rounders team won the County Championship at Sudbury Upper School recently.
The talented young team included many of the girls who won the County Hockey Championship earlier this school year.
Ipswich School emerged as unbeaten winners of the tournament.
They beat Sudbury Upper School by 8½ rounders to 2, Bungay High School 7½-4, Culford School 9½-3½ and Sir John Leman High School 5-4.
The match against Royal Hospital School ended with both teams having scored 9½ rounders, and the Ipswich School team won on 'outs'.
The team's coach, teacher Kirsten Spencer, praised the consistent performance and strong tactical intelligence of captain Liz Pope.
Reliable batting from Sarah Glanvill (11 rounders in the tournament) and Kate Watson (seven rounders) also contributed, as did the strong partnership between Jasmine Grayling and Liz Pope as backstop and first post.
