PLANS are afoot for a 20th anniversary reunion of Sudbury Town's FA Vase finalists.
Sudbury Town reached the final of the FA Vase in 1989, losing 3-0 to Tamworth in a replay at Peterborough following a 1-1 draw at Wembley in front of a then FA Vase record attendance of 26,478.
Martin Head, who was joint manager with Don James, said: “Most people I have spoken to are keen to do it.”
He said the reunion is likely to be on Saturday, May 23, although neither the date nor a venue have yet been finalised.
The Sudbury Town side at Wembley was: Dean Garnham, Mike Henry, Gary Barker (capt), Phil Boyland, Marty Thorpe, Bryan Klug, Dean Barker, Nigel Barton, Craig Oldfield, Dave Hubbick and Paul Smith. Sub: Mick Money.
