Suffolk County School’s FA Secretary James Morley said: “We wanted to provide all of the finalists with a county cup final that represents the great achievement which each of those schools, teachers and players have achieved throughout the course of the season.
“Needham Market FC is a venue that allows us to achieve this, from playing on a Step 3 grass pitch, with changing rooms and refreshments for spectators to food for the players after the game.
“Massive congratulations to all of those schools who won their final; there was some great football on show across the nine games, with a lot of talented young players coming through that shows Suffolk football is in good hands.
“We would also like to thank George Burley, who is an SCSFA Life Member, for coming to Needham Market on the Thursday of our finals to present the medals and trophies to the finalists.”
Suffolk County School’s FA Chairman Robert Peace said: “I am extremely proud of the staff at SCSFA, who put in a great deal of time and energy into planning and delivering the finals with special praise to secretary James Morley.
“Finally, sincere thanks to Suffolk FA for their support at the finals and throughout the season to help us achieve the goals we set out at the AGM.”
