SUFFOLK Under 18s gained a convincing 3-0 win against Cambridgeshire in an East Anglian Championship match at Cornard United last night.
The only goal of the first half came after 29 minutes when Woodbridge Town's Josh Mayhew converted a penalty kick after Ashley Richards had received a red card for handball in the goalmouth.
The lead was increased after 71 minutes as a shot from substitute Woodbridge's Jack Severy took a deflection.
Almost immediately Mayhew scored with a well-placed low shot as Suffolk gained control against 10 men.
