Suffolk's selectors will again use this match and the match on May 26 as a trial for the Middleton Cup campaign which starts on Saturday, June 9.

The Suffolk side shows several new names along with the more familiar faces. Adrian Holden is available this year after a year away while Andrew Friend has made himself available for the first time in many years. Suffolk will be hoping to get off to a good start.

Suffolk team to face Bedfordshire at Felixstowe & Suffolk BC, start 2pm, is as follows:

This weekend also sees the start of the County Competitions, with the first round of the Bert Edwards Cup and the first round of the Norton Cup.

Holders of the Norton Cup California BC have a tough draw against Melton. Many people's favourites, Felixstowe & Suffolk, have a bye through to Round Two where they meet Kensington Gardens.

On Saturday, May 19 the opening rounds of the Quinton Bowl takes place in which the holders Felixstowe & Suffolk have been drawn away to Cornard which could prove to be a difficult match.
