SUFFOLK FA Boys U16s beat their Hertfordshire counterparts 1-0 to finish fourth in the East Anglian Counties Championship.
Suffolk gained creditable draws against Bedfordshire and Essex this season but defeat against Cambridgeshire consigned Suffolk towards the bottom half of the table.
However, Sunday’s 1-0 victory at the County Ground , which was the final game of the season, over Hertfordshire ensured Suffolk did not finish bottom.
Brantham Athletic’s George Clarke scored the only goal of the game before half time, slotting past Herts keeper Connor Samson following a spell of pressure from the visitors.
