LAKESIDE have named their team for the 2011 Elite League season – with Piotr Swiderski joining the squad which just missed out on the play-offs last year.

Swiderski, who had a successful short-term spell with the Hammers in 2009, joins Lee Richardson, Adam Shields and Kauko Nieminen with Peter Ljung also returning after impressing in the latter stages of last season.

Robert Mear is set to make his comeback at reserve after sitting out 2010, whilst the other position will be shared by Stuart Robson and Kyle Legault on a doubling-up basis.

Manager Jon Cook said: “We wanted to make the most of what we had and also build into the team a harder edge for away trips and I believe that’s where this season’s team will pick up the extra points we need to make up for last season’s poor showing.”
