RYMAN League Premier Division Heybridge Swifts have appointed former Swifts assistant manager and Wivenhoe Town manager Steve Pitt as director of football.
Swifts manager Brian Statham, who was the key mover in this decision, is delighted to have strengthened his management team with this pivotal appointment, with Pitt looking to play a key role in developing the player recruitment, scouting and commercial aspects of the Swifts set up.
With Ian Cousins moving to Braintree, Gary Burrell to St Albans City and Erdem Artun to AFC Sudbury, goalkeeper Danny Gay is the latest player to be currently talking to other interested clubs.
