Teddy Bishop played the first 70 minutes of Ipswich Town Under 21’s 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday this evening, as he stepped up his return from injury.

Shane McLoughlin scored the game’s only goal just before the break, as he linked up with James’ Blanchfield’s pass to slot home, with the goal enough to secure all three points for the Blues.

Having made his first team return after a season of injury troubles against Charlton on Tuesday night, Bishop played 70 minutes before being replaced by Joe McKendry, while goalkeeper Dean Gerken also got some much-needed match action as he kept a clean sheet at Portman Road.

Ipswich Town: Gerken, Emmanuel, Kenlock, McDonnell, Digby, Robinson, Blanchfield, Bishop (McKendry, 68), Patterson, McLoughlin (Morris, 56), Dozzell. Subs not used: Crowe, Smith, Benyu, McKendry.
