Ipswich Town midfielder Teddy Bishop will this afternoon put pen-to-paper on a new contract that will run until 2018, with the club holding an option of a further year on top of that.
The 18-year-old academy product has enjoyed a highly-encouraging debut season in the Championship, scoring one goal in 14 starts and eight substitute appearances.
His close ball control, turn of pace and calmness in possession has earned him plaudits, with Blues boss Mick McCarthy announcing the teenager is destined for the Premier League at some stage in his career.
Meanwhile, rising academy star Kundai Benyu has signed his first professional deal. The London-born central midfielder, similar in style to Bishop, has been a regular for the club’s Under-21 side this season, despite only recently turning 17.
