Two young dressage riders from the region have been long listed for selection for the Junior and Young Riders teams for the European Championships this summer.
Ruth Hole, 14, from Bury St Edmunds is on the Junior long list with her mother Rachel Murray’s Winnetou GP.
On the Young Rider list is 18-year-old Gaby Lucas from Bentley Common in Essex with her own Laurentius II.
Gaby is a member of the UK Sport Lottery funded World Class Development Programme and both riders will now wait to see if they are in the final selections for the 2014 Young Rider and Junior European Championships, which take place in Arrezo, Italy in July.
