Colchester United’s winless run now stands at 15 league games, following Saturday’s depressing 4-1 home defeat to Swindon.
The U’s look doomed to relegation, having won just five of their 30 league games, but manager Kevin Keen is not giving up the ghost.
“I can do no more than say that we will keep working hard, and I will keep trying to find solutions,” said Keen.
“We are not going to give up.
“The boys will keep fighting and I don’t think you’ll ever see any lack of effort from the team.”
The U’s entertain fellow strugglers Chesterfield tomorrow evening, in a must-win game.
The Spireites have dropped into the relegation zone themselves, after suffering four straight defeats.
But the U’s, who are eight points adrift of safety, have not won a league game in 117 days (it will be 118 tomorrow).
