Dominic Vose hopes he gets the chance to play alongside new loanee Blair Turgott – because he is promising goals.
Teenage winger Turgott signed on loan for Colchester United, from West Ham, on loan transfer deadline day last week, on the same day as defender Ben Tozer arrived from Northampton,
Turgott’s arrival should excite U’s fans, in the opinion of fellow attacker, Vose, who used to play alongside the 19-year-old during his time at West Ham.
“Blair (Turgott) is my good mate. We played lots of games together,” explained Vose.
“It will be interesting, me and Blair, and it’s great that he’s come here on loan.
“He is a good signing for Colchester United, and is a good signing for any club. He is a good player.
“Blair is my age, and I think he brings a lot to the table.
“I’ve played with him millions of times, and I think that me and him have a good understanding.
“If we play together I think we will be guaranteed goals.”
Bromley-born Turgott played 11 games on loan at Bradford City last term.
This is his second loan, although he is yet to feature for West Ham’s first team.
Vose, meanwhile, has started the U’s last two games, against MK Dons and Tranmere. He is currently on a monthly contract at the U’s, but is hoping to make that a more permanent deal.
