IT may have been some 29 years since the real thing but more than 500 Ipswich Town fans last night cheered when Roger Osborne was shown scoring the winner in that FA Cup final.
Blues legends Mick Mills, John Wark, Kevin Beattie, and of course Osborne, were on hand to reminisce with supporters about that wonderful day in May 1978 at a special event at the Corn Exchange, Ipswich, last night, in aid of the Blues Foundation.
Compered by Simon Milton, with the FA Cup, sponsored by e.on, on show, the Blues fans were treated to highlights from the game at Wembley and the thoughts and memories of some of the players who played such a prominent part in the win.
