Colchester United manager, Tony Humes, is looking for a response from his players, at Sheffield United this evening, following last Saturday’s dismal 3-2 defeat to Crewe.

The U’s go into tonight’s game, three points adrift of safety.

“We’ve got to pick them up and keep going, and put it right at Sheffield United,” insisted Humes.

“We’ve got to play a lot better, and the players have got to find the belief and the character to do something about it.

“It’s a harsh environment, but my players have got to step up to it.

“We’re in a relegation scrap, but there are an awful lot of teams in there,” added Humes.

Chris Porter will be returning to his old club tonight, having already scored two goals in three appearances for the U’s. Porter spent three-and-a-half years at Bramall Lane.
