JIM Magilton might blame dodgy decisions by refs and linesmen for Town's continuing away-day blues, but the sorry stats tell a different story.
There's no defence, Jim!
JIM Magilton might blame dodgy decisions by refs and linesmen for Town's continuing away-day blues, but the sorry stats tell a different story.
The fact is, Town simply cannot defend away from home. In their 12 away games since tasting victory on their travels, the Blues have shipped no fewer than 25 goals.
That's more than two a game - relegation form, in other words. Thank goodness for the perfect home record!
In the sorry run, they've conceded four at West Brom, three at mighty MK Dons, Hull, and Sheff Utd, and two at Sheff Wed, Watford, Burnley, and Norwich. Not a clean sheet in sight!
The full sorry record now reads:
Played 12 Won 0 Drawn 6 Lost 6 Scored 13 Conceded 25
Dodgy decisions might have played a small part, Jim, but the real reason for the sorry run lies rather closer to home!
