Tarique Fosu has expressed his delight at signing an extension to his loan deal, which will take him through to the end of the season.

Flying winger Fosu, on loan from Reading, has played his part in Colchester United’s rise from the bottom two to the top six, over the last couple of months, despite operating mainly as a substitute.

“It was always on my mind to stay at Colchester for the season, 100%,” enthused Fosu.

“This is a good club with good people.

“I started off really well, and then just got a little injury.

“But I’ve worked hard to get back, and I’ve scored a few goals as well,” added Fosu.

The U’s are away at basement dwellers Newport County this Saturday.
