IPSWICH Town picked up their first piece of silverware of the season by beating Brighton 2-0 in the Combination Reserve League Champions Cup final.
A header by Chris Casement from a Matt Richards corner put them ahead before Billy Clarke scored the second with an exquisite turn and volley to have the game wrapped up by half-time.
Danny Haynes was dismissed for violent conduct three minutes into the second half but the Blues put up dogged resistance in the second half to keep the Seagulls at bay.
