IPSWICH Town have signed Newcastle United winger Martin Brittain on a one-year contract.
The 21-year-old has been on trial with the Blues for the past couple of weeks and impressed in a reserve match against MK Dons last week.
Brittain is expected to be added to the squad that travels to Peterborough for tomorrow night's League Cup clash and could make his debut at London Road.
Brittain played eight games for the Magpies, mainly in Europe and other cup competitions and played in just one Premiership match, as a substitute against Manchester City in the season before last.
