Tresarrieu inspires Witches to decent lead

Ipswich Witches 51 Workington Comets 39

IPSWICH Witches’ French star Mat Tresarrieu burst into life, as the Suffolk side gave themselves a real chance of reaching the League Cup final after victory over Workington at Foxhall Stadium. Tresarrieu rattled off three paid heat wins in the last five races, having failed to scored in his first two rides, as the home side finished the meeting strongly and with it a 12-point lead. Whether it will be enough remains to be seen, but with the Witches only two points ahead after heat 10, it’s a lead they will be happy with.
