THREE Suffolk-based racing car enthusiasts won a day out at Brands Hatch thanks to a competition organised by a car dealer.
Cecil & Larter SEAT - based in Mildenhall Road, Bury St Edmunds - set up an arcade game, fastest lap contest at the Bury Motor Show earlier in the year.
And the three successful wannabe Lewis Hamiltons, won a VIP experience at a touring car rally last week.
The winners - Venie Joshua, Alex De-Moore and Nick Bailey - were given access to all the backstage goings on at a day of rally car racing.
They also bumped into the star of Channel Five's Fifth Gear and British touring car legend Jason Plato while having a look around the pit area at one of the UK's best-known race tracks.
One of the winners - Venie Johshua - is used to the roar of powerful engines because of his job at Lakenheath air base.
He said: “I haven't really won anything major before, so I was surprised and delighted to win a day at Brands Hatch.
“It was a day to remember and meeting Jason Plato certainly topped off a wonderful experience.”
Head of Cecil & Larter SEAT, Terry Hall, added: “I am delighted that our winners had a nice day out.
“This competition proved a great success.”
