TV star Vernon Kay will be in Ipswich this weekend – to play American football.
Radio and TV presenter Kay will be in uniform for the London Warriors as they play the Ipswich Cardinals at Northgate Sports Centre.
Kay, who plays in the defensive backfield for the Warriors, wears number 25.
He’s well known for his love of the sport, having played it in his youth, and recently donned the shoulder pads again at the highest level in British American football.
The Cardinals will hope to bounce back from last weekend’s season-opening loss to the Bristol Aztecs with a victory in their first home game of the BAFACL Premier League campaign.
The game kicks off at 2.30pm, with Ipswich Town defender Ibrahima Sonko performing the ceremonial coin toss.
