TWO more players have departed Wivenhoe's plight and taken the short journey down the A120.

Striker Lee Underwood and goalkeeper Paul Rutherford have signed for fellow Ridgeons Premier Division outfit Tiptree United after both starring for the Broad Lane side. Former Harwich striker Underwood has notched 14 times in the League this season and decided to leave Wivenhoe two weeks ago.

The much travelled Rutherford played his last game in last week's 5-0 defeat to Leiston and he replaces Darren Gould at Chapel Road after Gould signed for AFC Sudbury on Thursday.

Also in Essex and Stanway Rovers midfielder Angelo Harrop has turned down the overtures of an approach from Harwich & Parkeston to remain with the Hawthorns-based side.
