JON Walters has NOT signed for Stoke City and so won't be joining the Potters tomorrow for pre-season training.
While both Ipswich Town and Stoke City are remaining tight-lipped about reports that a deal has been done for Walters to move to the newly-promoted Premier League side, the EADT understands the rumours are well wide of the mark.
Walters, the Blues' player of the year last season, has understandably attracted interest from the top flight and no doubt a couple of clubs, Stoke included, have asked about his availability but there has been no bid.
Chief executive Derek Bowden told the EADT last month there had been no offer and that remains the case today.
Walters has been training with his Ipswich team-mates this week and is expected to play in the friendly at Brentford on Friday night.
He, along with Tommy Miller, did not play in the friendly at Loughborough University on Friday as they had slight niggles, but both have resumed full training.
