Wapping II 0 Colchester II 0

A 4pm start in central London and only ten players seemed like a recipe for disaster, but a display of grit and determination by the Colchester team earnt them a valuable away point at Wapping.

Against a strong Wapping side and a player short, Colchester were always going to be up against it. Wapping had most of the possession throughout the match, with Colchester limited to just a few breaks.

Time and time again Wapping attacked looking for the break through, but Colchester's keeper, Kate Mead, was equal to everything Wapping threw at her,and when she was beaten Jo livings, Sue Cross and Rosemary Prince were there to clear the danger.

Some of the defending was last ditch but Wapping became increasingly frustrated by Colchester's defence and inspired goal keeping by Kate.

Eventually time ran down and a great team effort was rewarded with a well deserved point.
