Saturday August 22 - Preston (a) W 2-1 - Preston dominate first half, but 1-1 all break. Fraser nets sublime winner. Town stay top. MOTM: Fraser
Tuesday August 25 - Doncaster (a, LC) W 4-1- Seven changes, 1-1 at full-time, Toure throws shirt in crowd! McGoldrick, Alabi, Fraser all score in extra-time to kill off League One opposition. MOTM: McGoldrick
Saturday August 29 - Brighton (h) L 3-2 – Go 2-0 down inside 12 minutes, but rally after break to level. Impressive Brighton quickly hit back and fully deserve win. MOTM: McGoldrick
Fri September 11 - Reading (a, SKY) L 5-1 – Royals convert five of nine attempts. Town play okay, but too open at back. Sobering night. MOTM: McGoldrick
Tuesday September 15 - Leeds (a) W 1-0 - Smith header from corner first half, comfortable thereafter. Back to belligerent best. MOTM: Fraser
Friday September 18 - Birmingham (h, SKY) D 1-1 – Maitland-Niles’ lengthy run wins penalty, Pitman converts for 1-1. Profligate after break. Missed opportunity. MOTM: Maitland-Niles
Wednesday September 23 Man Utd (a, LC) L 3-0 - Mick plays kids/fringe players, United close to full-strength. Decent away display considering, but class showed. MOTM: Yorwerth
Saturday September 26 Bristol City (h) D 2-2 – Laboured display from rested players. Conceded quickfire sloppy goals to go 2-1 down. Fraser rescues point late on. MOTM: Fraser
Saturday October 3 - Blackburn (a) L 2-0 - Jordan Rhodes scores inevitable brace inside 16 minutes. Town thoroughly outplayed start to finish. MOTM: Gerken
Saturday October 17 - Huddersfield (h) D 0-0 - Drab goalless draw. Disjointed first half, only slightly better after break. McGoldrick missed late chance. MOTM: Gerken
Tuesday October 20 - Hull (a) L 3-0 - Defensive game plan works for half an hour, then Hull stepped up a gear and cruised to victory. MOTM: Bru
Saturday October 24 - Nottingham Forest (a) D 1-1 - Ex-Blue Liam Trotter scores deep into stoppage-time on his Forest debut to cancel out Parr’s expert finish. Heartbreak, but draw probably fair. MOTM: Chambers
Saturday October 31 - Cardiff (h) D 0-0 - Fourth successive home draw. Forgettable match. Murphy clearly lacked confidence. Town winless in seven. MOTM: Berra

Saturday November 28 - Charlton (a, Sky) W 3-0 - Two more Murphy goals, Sears nets other, Gerken three top saves at end. First televised win in 12. Back to within touching distance of top-six. MOTM: Murphy
Friday December 4 - Middlesbrough (h, Sky) L 2-0 - Town arguably better team in first half, but Boro step up a gear after break. Nemesis David Nugent nets customary Portman Road goal. MOTM: Gerken
Saturday December 12 - MK Dons (a, Sky) W 1-0 - Pitman score early, two good chances missed. Dons dominant after nreak, Gerlen makes three smart stops. MOTM: Gerken
Tuesday December 15 - Fulham (a) W 2-1 - Sears scores after 16 seconds, McCormack levels with 30-yard free-kick, but Pitman’s deft finish wins it. Outstanding away display. MOTM: Berra
Saturday December 19 - Derby (h) L 1-0 - Tom Ince’s goal the difference. Town huff and puff, again falling just short against leading side. MOTM: Sears
Saturday December 26 - QPR (h) W 2-1 - Chambers heads home 92nd minute winner to seal come-from-behind win, but this was no Boxing Day blockbuster. Flat game on and off the pitch. MOTM: Sears

Saturday February 6 - QPR (a) L 1-0 – Town rode first half storm, then had chances to win it only for Matty Phillips to snatch win for hosts. Fraser’s late injury added salt to wounds. MOTM: Bialkowski
Saturday February 13 - Bristol City (a) L 2-1 - Aden Flint scores two carbon copy headers from corners. Pitman halves deficit early in second half, but Town never kick on. Drop to eighth. MOTM: Bialkowski
Tuesday February 23 - Hull (h) L 1-0 – Tuesday night home run comes to shuddering halt. Mohamed Diame scores as Hull don’t have to get out of second gear. Fifth defeat in six. Down to 10th. MOTM: Pringle
Saturday February 27 - Huddersfield (a) W 1-0 - A battling away win. Massively ride luck early on, Pringle scores against run of play, then defend superbly. MOTM: Murphy
Saturday March 5 - Nottm Forest (h) W 1-0 – Again, ride luck at times, but play far better football. Pringle gets another winner. Foley midfield masterclass. Back to within a point of play-off places. MOTM: Foley
Tuesday March 8 - Bolton (a) D 2-2 - Major turning point. Bru wonder strike and Berra goal puts Town in control, but rock-bottom hosts attack throughout and level in sixth minute of stoppage-time after Maitland-Niles gives away poor penalty. MOTM: Bialkowski
Saturday March 12 - Cardiff (a) L 1-0 - Massive game against top-six rivals. Cardiff seem there for taking, but Town concede at a corner and look devoid of ideas. MOTM: Knudsen
Tuesday March 15 - Blackburn (h) W 2-0 - Birthday boy Murphy scores twice in second half, but papers over cracks of lackustre display. MOTM: Murphy
Saturday March 19 - Rotherham (h) L 1-0 – Undoubted low-point of campaign. Negative team selection, sloppy for goal, distinct lack of creativity. Booed off field. MOTM: Feeney

Saturday April 9 - Brentford (h) L 3-1 - Hyam breaks Alan Judge’s leg then later sent-off. More poor defending after break. Long-fading play-off hopes all-but ended. MOTM: Knudsen
Saturday April 16 - Sheff Weds (a) D 1-1 - Heading for another limp loss until 16-year-old Andre Dozzell’s Roy of the Rovers moment. Much-needed feelgood story. MOTM: Bialkowski
Tuesday April 19 - Fulham (h) D 1-1 – Knudsen’s last-gasp leveller salvages only a smidgen of pride after another dire home display. Ironic cheers greeted Town’s first attempt on goal in 71st minute. MOTM: McGoldrick
