Heybridge Swifts manager, Jody Brown, felt that his side should have taken something from last night’s 2-0 defeat at Bowers & Pitsea.
“I thought we played well, and Bowers were very complimentary towards us after the match, but that counts for nothing,” rued Brown.
“I’m getting frustrated with seeing us play well and yet not get the win. We had been on an unbeaten run, but we’ve had too many draws.
“The nature of their two goals disappointed me. For the first, the ball went through our centre-half’s legs to put them through on a one-on-one, which was a severe error.
“And the second has simply hit Glen Little and gone straight in from a corner.
“We’ve played against top eight teams in recent weeks, so it’s been a hard schedule. Now we have some games against teams in-and-around us, like Thamesmead and VCD. We need to win these sort of games,” added Brown.
