On-song George Moncur is adamant that improving Colchester United can upset the odds and even win promotion this season.

Moncur celebrated his fifth goal, in his last five league appearances, to help the U’s to a third win on the bounce, a 2-1 victory at Swindon Town on Saturday.

The ex-West Ham attacker broke the deadlock early on at the County Ground, to move the U’s up to 10th in the League One table.

The U’s have struggled to avoid relegation, in the three previous seasons, but Moncur is confident of a far better campaign in 2015-16.

“We’re going up, that’s all I can say,” insisted Moncur.

“If we play like that, I think we’ve got a great chance of going up.

“And by that I mean getting promoted. If we keep winning, then the only thing we can do is go up!” added Moncur.

The U’s entertain Phil Parkinson’s Bradford City tomorrow evening.
