It is important that we keep this run going. Winning games gives everyone a lift, any good result is a positive, and it shows we are heading in the right direction.

I'm not looking for Manchester United away, or any of those sort of ties. I would rather we faced a team that we fancy beating.

That is not to say we wouldn't give it a go at one of the big boys but we want a good run. I have never got as far as the fifth round before so we want to keep it going.

I got a few texts from friends who are Cardiff fans so it was a bit special to score against them. I wasn't bothered by the keeper and didn't even notice what he got booked for. I just picked the ball up and got ready. It is a regular thing, people trying to put you off, but I take no notice.

I'm sure Jon Walters will be a good addition to the squad. We need four recognised strikers that can breed competition.

I want to get to the Premiership with Ipswich Town and anything or anyone that can help us do that can only be a good thing.

Ipswich match-winner Alan Lee

I didn't see the penalty incident. I was devastated Jaime Peters missed and wanted to kill him, to be honest, but the referee was 'Johnny on the spot' and gave it.

As usual, Alan Lee was composed and he has not missed for us. On the balance of play overall, we just about scraped it.

One or two players were not on top of their game and we could have done better but we defended very well Swansea are a good side and I can see them getting promoted and doing well in this division.

We had a few problems but we dug in and at half-time I told them to up the tempo, which we did. It was not a great spectacle, which I thought it would be given both teams use wingers, but we are in the hat for the fifth round.

I was surprised Lee Trundle did not start and that gave is the impetus to go at them from the start. He showed what a good player he is when he came on but that is how they sometimes set up away from home.

The penalty incident was slightly harsh on us. If they start giving penalties for what was minimal contact then there are going to be quite a number of penalties being awarded.

The lad has half gone down and there has been a little tangle of arms, and no real appeals from their players or crowd, but the referee has given it and we have to live with it and move on.

To lose the game the way we did was harsh on us after the way we caused Ipswich problems.

We can take some positives from this and from how close the game was. I didn't start with Lee Trundle as Ipswich are a very good footballing team and I wanted us to outnumber them in midfield and stop them playing and getting momentum because, if they do that, they will hurt you.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but tactically it is something that has worked for us before. It was working again as we had a foothold in the game before the penalty. Lee is an impact player and I intended to use him at some point.
