RIDGEONS League Division One side Whitton United will entertain a Colchester United XI in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday night, kick-off 7pm.
Whitton manager Ian Brown, whose side won the Suffolk Senior Cup last season, arranged the friendly through Richard Hall, who is now development coach at Colchester.
The match is the first of two high-profile friendlies for Whitton, who will open their new stand before they face an Ipswich Town XI on Saturday, August 6, kick-off 3pm.
