RIDGEONS LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION

Stanway Rovers1 Haverhill Rovers 4

HAVERHILL made it two wins in two games with a brace of goals from Pilcher and one each from Salmons and Banham.

An excellent 20-yard effort from Salmons that curled into the bottom right-hand corner opened the scoring after 19 minutes, and Pilcher doubled the lead with a well-taken half-volley after 44 minutes.

Pilcher's second came when he rode a challenge by B Newson and placed the ball between goalkeeper Bedingfield and the near post in the 75th minute. Substitute Banham netted a minute from time after a long kick by Benstead.

Substitute S Newson scored a consolation penalty kick for Stanway three minutes into added time after Harvey had fouled B Newson.

RIDGEONS LEAGUE FIRST DIVISION

Stowmarket Town 0 Debenham LC 2

TWO second-half goals from Stuart Jopling took Debenham to the top of Division One after a combination of fine goalkeeping and the woodwork had kept the Hornets at bay.

In a lacklustre first period Charters produced a brilliant one handed save to deny Joplin but could only watch as Gedney's free-kick hit the bar and Leys cleared Pratt's shot from the rebound off the line.

After the break Jopling latched on to Norman's long ball to beat the offside trap and open the scoring. His second came five minutes from time as he converted a Turley cross.
